Abstract

This paper explores the impact of artificial intelligence on the labor market and examines student perceptions of its role in education and employment. Global trends in the development and application of artificial intelligence tools and public attitudes toward this technology are analyzed. Emphasis is placed on a survey conducted among students of the Zagreb University of Applied Sciences (TVZ), which investigated their level of knowledge, readiness, and concerns regarding the application of artificial intelligence in future professional environments. The results indicate that while most students possess a high level of knowledge and confidence in using modern tools, they simultaneously emphasize the importance of additional education and the development of soft skills as key factors for successful integration into the labor market. This confirms that artificial intelligence is not perceived solely as a threat but also as an opportunity for the development of new competencies and professions. The findings contribute to understanding local perspectives in relation to global trends and open avenues for future research.
