Sažetak
The article presents the results of analyses of the hydrological regime of the Bednja River at the Ludbreg gauging station on an annual time scale. In addition to the series of mean annual discharges of the Bednja at the Ludbreg gauging station for the period 1947–2023, series of annual precipitation totals and mean annual air temperatures measured at the Ludbreg climatological station for the period 1982–2024 were also analysed. The series of mean annual discharges shows a statistically insignificant decreasing trend, while the series of annual precipitation exhibits a statistically insignificant increasing trend. The series of mean annual air temperatures shows a statistically significant increasing trend. In the article, annual runoff coefficients were calculated for the period 982–2023. Their trend is decreasing but not statistically significant. Annual values of the following three drought indices were defined: (1) the Standardized Streamflow Index (SQI); (2) the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI); and (3) a new drought index (NDI). The SQI index shows a statistically insignificant decreasing trend. The SPI series shows a statistically insignificant increasing trend. The NDI series shows a statistically significant decreasing trend, i.e. a statistically significant intensification of drought in the Bednja catchment.
