Sažetak
The article presents the results of research on philosophy in Kršćanska škola (The Christian School, Zagreb, 1897–1945). In our research we have shown that this journal also wrote about philosophy. The philosophical content in the scientific-pedagogical journal is there because the authors believed that philosophy was the foundation of pedagogy. The authors evaluate modern systems of thought and science from the standpoint of neo-Thomism. The philosophical content in the journal appears frag¬mentarily, in various apologetic texts. Such philosophical content serves to confront materialistic and anti-religious systems. This is especially true for the Greco-Roman philosophers who are cited as authorities. That this is the case is shown by the review of the literature cited here. Also, the journal does not abound in articles dealing with philosophical systems. The journal contains more interpretations of the thinking of an individual. In the period between the First and Second World Wars, philosophy was reduced due to the weakening of interest in apologetic methods of presentation and the new orientation of the journal. This article presents findings from research conducted within the project New Topics in Croatian Philosophy from 1874 to 1945 (IP-2022-10-5438), funded by the Croatian Science Foundation.
