Prethodno priopćenje
Croatian Musical Culture and Guest Appearances of Macedonian Musicians in Croatia Mirrored in the Macedonian Press from 1921 to 1991
Sažetak
The entire research relates to the presence of the Croatian musical culture and Macedonian musicians in Croatia as reported in published texts in the Macedonian press from 1921 to 1991. This is the first research on these issues in Macedonia, and results in chronological and statistical survey of the relevant and rich materials in published texts in Macedonia. At the same time, this work is important for Croatian musicology, since it enables the observation of Croatian music presence in other cultural milieux (concerts of Croatian musicians in Macedonia, Croatia, Europe, the USA and in other countries, and musical manifestations held in Croatia: festivals, conferences, competitions etc.). In the course of the research, data were collected from dailies, weeklies and periodicals published in Macedonia from 1921 to 1991.
In the research of the 1919-1941 period (the Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, and from 1929, the Kingdom of Yugoslavia) the following press sources were used: Privredni glasnik (a daily), Skopski glasnik (a weekly), and Glasnik skopskog naučnog društva (a scholarly journal). For the1946-1991 period (the Federative People's Republic of Yugoslavia, and from 1963, the Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia), only one Macedonian newspaper was selected for detailed research, which enabled a very good overview of the relevant data. That was Nova Makedonija, which had the highest circulation and was regarded as the best newspaper of the time.
A comprehensive bibliography of the sources is attached to the article.
