Sažetak

The article presents for the first time a comprehensive list of feminine istem nouns attested in Croatian Church Slavonic. The list is based on the material compiled for the Dictionary of the Croatian Redaction of Church Slavonic. Due to the complexity of the material, the paper presents in detail the methodology for collecting and classifying nouns and the criteria for recognizing feminine i-stem nouns. The procedure resulted in a list of 334 i-stem nouns in a list of approximately 17 000 words. According to the criteria used in the paper, i-stem nouns are divided into three groups: 1) nouns that show exclusively i-stem forms (pure i-stems); 2) nouns that, in addition to i-stem forms, also show a-stem or o-stem forms (mixed i-stems); 3) nouns of unclear status, for which, according to intralinguistic and/or comparative-historical criteria, it can be assumed that they belong to the i-declension, but there are not enough arguments for this in the material. The collected list is compared with the list of feminine i-stem nouns attested in Old Church Slavonic. This comparison reveals a significant increase in the number of nouns formed with the suffix -ostь in Croatian Church Slavonic in comparison to Old Church Slavonic, as well as a number of mismatches in declension type.
