Sažetak

The article discusses the restoration works of the minaret and the former mosque, today the church of St. Anthony, both in Drniš. The contribution of this article lies in the presentation of the first institutional initiatives for the renovation of monuments in the Drniš area, starting with the initiative of the Municipal Administration from 1877 towards the then Commission for the Preservation of Antique Monuments in Split, as well as the correspondence of the conservators with the Central Commission for the Research and Preservation of Historical and Artistic Monuments in Vienna. The description of the minaret and the description of the planned works from 1877 are published for the first time, along with the accompanying cost estimate. Secondly, the initiatives and attempts to restore the church of St. Anthony in Drniš based on the previously unpublished correspondence of Fr Ivan Tomasović and don Frane Bulić from 1922, 1923 and 1924 are presented. Thirdly, the article discusses the renovation works from the 1980s.
