Sažetak
This article examines the complex management system of pressure equipment throughout all phases of its life cycle, from initial design and manufacturing to operation and final decommissioning. Due to the stored energy it contains, pressure equipment is classified as a high-risk category of technical systems and requires strict adherence to the legislative framework, primarily the European Directive PED 2014/68/EU. Emphasis is placed on modern non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, such as radiography and ultrasound, which enable the detection of internal defects without compromising the equipment's integrity. The article also considers the impact of human factors and reviews real industrial accidents (such as BLEVE explosions) to underline the importance of safety systems. In conclusion, the paper offers insights into future management approaches through digitalisation and the concept of "Digital Twins", which facilitate proactive actions and risk reduction in modern industrial plants.
