Sažetak
The development and application of artificial intelligence increasingly permeate various fields of activity, including mental health, thereby giving rise to numerous professional, legal and bioethical dilemmas. Within this context, regulatory challenges requiring particular attention through an interdisciplinary approach come especially to the fore. Among these, questions such as the protection of personal data, liability in the case of erroneous or harmful psychotherapeutic recommendations, and the possibility of replacing interpersonal interaction with automated systems in such sensitive relationships stand out. The establishment of a clear and coherent regulatory framework, with due regard to bioethical values, is necessary. Through qualitative analysis of the relevant literature and a review of the positive legal regulations of the Republic of Croatia and the European Artificial Intelligence Act, regulatory challenges will be identified, thereby opening space for normative and bioethical reflection on the application of artificial intelligence in mental health.
