Sažetak

The core metal components of outdoor pianos are exposed to complex natural environments such as rainwater and salt spray, and are prone to corrosion fatigue and pitting failure, which further leads to component performance degradation and shortened service life. In this paper, laser shock peening (LSP) technology was applied to perform surface modification on 2Cr13 martensitic stainless steel, which is commonly used in outdoor pianos. The effects of different peening parameters (energy and layer number) on the microstructure, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the material were systematically investigated. The results show that LSP can induce significant refinement of surface martensite laths, forming high-density dislocations and nanoprecipitates, with the surface microhardness increased by up to 44.1 %. In simulated outdoor environments with pH values of 3, 7 and 11, the corrosion fatigue crack growth rate was significantly reduced. In 3.5 % NaCl solution, the self-corrosion current density of the double-layer peened specimen decreased by 42.3 %. Through the synergistic effect of high-amplitude residual compressive stress and surface grain refinement, LSP effectively inhibits passive film breakdown and corrosion fatigue crack propagation.
