Pedal Surfaces of First Order Congruences

Sažetak

This paper is an overview of the pedal surfaces {P_n}^{n+2} for
first order line congruences. We describe their construction, prove their algebraic properties, derive parametric and implicit equations and visualize these new resulting surfaces with the program Mathematica in seven examples.
