Abstract
Music pedagogy as a scientific discipline serves the purpose of preserving musical heritage. Music pedagogues as scientists and music teachers are guardians of musical tradition and heritage because 1) musical heritage is the content of music subjects in Croatia and extracurricular musical activities; 2) almost a quarter of the scientific papers on the topic of music teaching are in the CROSBI database deal with the promotion of musical heritage as part of cultural heritage.
