Abstract

The potential method in the theory of Dirac's field introduced in the paper1) is analysed with respect to gauge invariance of the Lagrangian density. It is shown that the requirement of the gauge invariance of the Lagrangian density is not necessary condition. Considering the Dirac's field as physical object, only final results which can be expressed completely by φ are correct selection, regardless how they are obtained. Various Lagrangian densities are constructed from the potential and known constants of motion are obtained. The considerations are restricted to the massless Dirac's field.
