Multipole field electromagnetic velometers

Abstract

The aim of the paper is to demonstrate that the wall potentials on an insulating tube bounding a conductive fluid immersed in several multipole magnetic fields contain all information necessary to determine the flow velocity in all points of a cross-section, irrespective of the existence of axial symmetry in the flow.
