Abstract

Museums play a crucial social role in the 21st century, extending beyond their traditional function of preserving cultural heritage. They are adapting to contemporary challenges such as demographic changes and social exclusion, actively contributing to social inclusion through specialized programs. Through collaboration with various stakeholders, museums are becoming catalysts for social cohesion, promoting inclusivity, and strengthening communities, as demonstrated in this paper through museum programs for people with dementia.
