Meson exchange cutoffs and chiral solitons

Abstract

It is argued that the chiral soliton models provide a natural basis for the otherwise ad hoe distance regularization in hadron form factors. We present a proposal of how one can qualitatively connect the cutoffs in the phenomenological boson exchange models with the finite size of chiral solitons and illustrate it with a rough calculation for the case of the nucleon-omega form factor.
