Abstract

We have applied Gaussian effective potential approach at finite temperature and chemical potential in 3 + 1 dimension. The effect of fermions on the effective potential is studied in detail. It is found that the presence of fermions destabilizes the theory beyond some critical values of the chemical potential µ. Behaviour of the effective potential for different values of T and µ, have been studied numerically.
