Abstract
This study compares the physical workload of people with disabilities and healthy individuals performing tasks on a predefined course using the Xsens motion capture system. Motion data from 56 participants were used to create digital human models for ergonomic assessment with the Ovako Working Posture Analysis System (OWAS). The results reveal significant workload differences, highlighting increased ergonomic risks for people with disabilities during specific tasks. The findings were validated in rehabilitation and employment settings. The study confirms that combining wearable motion capture with established ergonomic methods effectively assesses workload and supports workplace adaptations.
