Abstract
A study on the sensitivity of four durum wheat varieties to herbicides inhibiting acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) and acetohydroxyacid synthase (AHAS) was conducted in greenhouse pot experiments. Increased herbicide doses (double and quadruple) reduced photosynthetic activity in all tested varieties. The most sensitive variety was Helix, and the most resistant was Saya. The remaining varieties, Predel and Reyadur, occupy an intermediate position with respect to the analyzed physiological parameters. Regarding enzyme activity, although it performed well in photosynthesis, the most sensitive variety was Saya. Of the ACC inhibitor herbicides, Axial 050 EC had a more substantial adverse effect, and among the AHAS inhibitor herbicides, Pallas 75 WG + Dassoil 26-2N was the most effective. In addition, the genetic relationship among the studied genotypes was based on molecular markers.
