Regional Characteristics of Population Reproduction in the Republic of Croatia

Abstract

This work deals with the biological reproduction of the population of the Republic of Croatia. It encompasses the period from 1857 to 1994, while the focus of study is on the modern (1971-1990) regional characteristics of reproduction (on the county level). The problem is also considered from the aspect of ''setlement type''. It was established that all regions (counties) have reproduction indicators with values below the level necessary for simple population replacement
