Abstract

Some special characteristics of linear systems of equations, which arise from geodetic network adjustment, optimization and pre-analysis, are outlined in this paper. Advantages and disadvantages of several methods for solving of the linear systems are discussed in the paper, considering their application to the problems arising from the geodetic network with large number of unknown parameters. Some of the scientific and expert achievements incorporated into the NetExpert software package were the subjects of this paper, including those in mathematics, geodesy and computer science.
