THE BALLADS (MIROSLAV KRLEŽA’S BALADE PETRICE KEREMPUHA) AS AN AUTHOR’S PROJECT

Abstract
The paper gives outlines of a «synoptic» approach to Balade Petrice Kerempuha (Petrica
Kerempuh’s Ballads) written by Miroslav Krleža, based on references from almost all expert
and literary/historical literature on the subject. However, research work dwelled on research
«fields» that are more significant for the Ballads themselves in respect to their structure,
poetics and epistemology. Several levels are profiled in this respect, the result of which are
hypothetic instructions suggested as introductions into new areas of possible research activities
linked with the issues that have been initiated by this Krleža’s work.
