Abstract

The main goal was to define and estimate yield between standards soybean
cultivars of different maturity groups on different locations in Republic of Croatia.
Because of growing climate changes which impact on yields, it is necessary to classify
certain environments to yield stability. During four vegetation years (2004 - 2007) on 3 locations Osijek (N 45°33', E 18°40'), Kutjevo (N 45°25', E 17° 52') i Nova Gradiška (N
45°15', E 17°22') research was conducted on influence of genotype, environment and
interaction genotype x environment on soybean yield. The results have shown
statistically high difference between soybean cultivars. 2004 was the best for achieving
high yield (3.94 t / ha), while western location (N. Gradiška) in all years had averaged
highest yields of 3.80 t/ha, which was significantly higher compared to other two
locations (Osijek 3.43 t/ha and Kutjevo 3.45 t/ha). The results indicate possibility of
increasing yield by proper selection of varieties and the best group of maturation for
certain environments.
