Abstract

The Archive of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (Croatian abbreviation: HAZU) keeps a collection of medieval and early modern charters, called the Diplomata. Work on the archival ordering of the charters and making of the regesta for them was started by a group of Historical Institute and Archive employees and external collaborators headed by Antun Mayer, while Jakov Stipišić and Miljen Šamšalović published regesta of medieval charters from that collection in Zbornik Historijskog instituta Jugoslavenske akademije (today Zbornik Odsjeka za povijesne znanosti Zavoda za povijesne i društvene znanosti HAZU) (vols. 2 to 5). In order to publish also the regesta of other charters, to make them more easily accessible for the wider circle of users, the work on publishing the regesta was continued in 2007 and the regesta of the charters covering the period from 1527 to 1550 were published in vols. 25 to 28 of the Zbornik. In this volume, as the fifth part of the Regesta, there are those related to the charters from 1551 to 1554. The regesta published in this instalment were made by Antun Mayer, Lujo Šavor, Rudolf Juričan and Josip Marušić.
