Abstract

The article gives description of the methods and the results of an experimental research conducted with the purpose to find out the legibility of the Glagolitic triangular and rounded script. By the method of a short exposure it was found that between the two types there are no statistically relevant differences in the average number of the accurately recognized isolated characters. However, there is a statistically relevant difference in the average number of accurately recognized syllables in favor of the rounded type. The syllables of the rounded type are more legible than the syllables of the triangular type at the exposure of 0.04 of a second. There are indications that an experiment with a larger text would reveal more significant differences.
