Abstract

In the text, Stjepan Brodarić describes events that had the immediate impact on the Battle of Mohacs and the course of the battle itself. In one hand, Brodarić describes pure reality on the ground; on the other hand, he provided his readers with delicate and subtle narration. He was a thorough and conscientious history writer, with outstanding writing style. His goal was to depict events in clear and objective way. Describing these hectic events of the battle, he tried to remain a humanist. His work was neat, evenly written and brief. In any case, he attracted attention to antique relics, primarily from the Roman period.
