Hobbes criticized ars civilis in a way that it at the same time laid foundations of his philosophia civilis. The influence of both on his mayor works provoked many different opinions among his followers. However, discussion of the confusing reason concept could help us to understand some of the seemingly unsolved paradigms which make his philosophy extremely intriguing.
