Substitutes – marginalized teachers

Abstract
The article deals with substitute teacher status in the school system, the marginalized fi eld in our expert and professional literature. The differences in conceptualizing the authority of permanent teacher and substitute, their relations, substitute self-perception and the role of administration are analyzed; and some suggestions for complete solutions of this professional phenomenon are given. The necessity of systematic research of teacher substitute status from the professional and economic aspects is stressed, as they would not be at the margins of interest of the profession and policymakers.
