Abstract

The development of walking and jogging therapy mostly depends on how
the theory is applied in practice and on the people who apply it. Slow continuous
jogging, appropriately dosed and regularly done, has definitely proved to cause
changes that lead to health improvement. As long as one’s age and health condition
enables it, people should walk every morning or evening for at least half an hour or
jog slowly for 2 – 3 kilometers. Quick ascending of stairs for two or three times a day
exercises one’s heart and breathing and adjust them to the physical strain. However,
there is no sport activity that can completely replace the beneficial therapeutical effect
of walking or slow jogging on human health in general.
