A review of a book by Drago Pupovac and Ratko Zelenika Management of Human Resources in Transport

Abstract
University manual and companion writen by Drago Pupovac, M.Sc., and Ratko Zelenika, Ph.D., titled : Management of Human Resources in Transport is a new and valuable work of two authors who collaborated and published about 50 scientific and professional papers on logistics, transport, intellectual capital and management of human resources in transport. They took part in numerous international conferences abroad and in Croatia with more than 20 scientific reports.
In order to solve adequately the problem of research, to realize the subject of research, to prove the hypothesis and achieve the goals and objectives of the investigations, the authors offered 605 scientifically actual issues by means of logical and systematic material in six interrelated parts (i.e. Chapters) Introduction, Theoretical significance of the economy of labour market and human resources, Theoretical determinants of modern transport and traffic, The organizational concept of the management of human resources in transport companies, Function of human resources in transport companies, Information technology – factor of excellence in management of human resources in transport companies.
If this work is scientifically analysed and assessed from the point of view of those whom it concerns, i.e. from the point of view of students, traffic experts, traffic managers of all levels and especially managers engaged in human resource management, its value is undoubtedly very high as well as its practical applicability.
The book has been written in Croatian standard language, and the scientific style of the author is simple, natural, measured, coherent, various and vivid.
