Abstract
Integration processes in Europe are specialized. Tourism is becoming a significant economic and social activity in these processes. In Europe, around 5% of overall work force is employed in tourism; in cities, the number of people directly or indirectly involved in tourism is around 20%. There is a number of guidelines aimed at facilitating the development of tourism in different areas referring to nautical tourism, especially related to our coastal region. These guidelines are enabling a relatively even development of seven levels: EU level, national, regional, local, big corporation and small and medium enterprise level. Around 50 significant international bodies and committees are involved in this process.
