Abstract

This interdisciplinary research explores the impact of rural and urban residential habits and air pollution caused by traffic and pollen on the incidence of allergic rhinitis and asthma in Vinkovci. The results suggest the impact of rural and urban residential features of new generations is waning due to the growing similarities between life conditions. However, seasonality of both diseases highlights the public health issues of exposure to tree pollen and ambrosia which can be alleviated through urban planning.
