Abstract

A procedure for determining multiphoton probability in atoms is presented using time-dependent perturbation theory. The evolution operator is obtained in the form of infinite order using iterative procedure for solving the Schrödinger equation. By applying the dipole approximation on the operator interaction, the final expressions for the probability of two-photon spontaneous and stimulated emissions are obtained.
