HONEY PLANTS OF ROCKY PASTURES OF THE ISLANDS OF KRK, CRES AND PAG

Abstract

In the floristic research into the autochthonous flora of rocky pastures of the islands of Krk, Cres and Pag, a total of 56 taxa of honey plants (55 species and 1 subspecies) belonging to 23 families were recorded. Families with the highest number of taxa are Lamiaceae (11 species), Fabaceae (9 species) and Rosaceae (5 species). The most important honey plants are: Salvia officinalis, Marrubium vulgare, Spartium junceum, Echium vulgare, Echium italicum and Rubus
ulmifolius.
