Abstract

The author suggests that the process of establishing a Croatian state based on law ought to differentiate varieties both on the diacronic and genetic level as well as on the on the syncronic and systematic level. He maintains that the distinguishing of different types of states based on law (absolute/sovereign, liberal, social) and their specific problems offers analytical possibilities for the theoretical defining of institutions and regulating mechanisms for the theoretical defining of institutions and regulating mechanism able effectively to solve the basic problems in the development of Croatian society and the Croatian state.
