Abstract
In this work the author, through a form of dialogue with religion teachers at the beginning of the school year, underlines the important determinants of religious education in schools as a denominational religion, which demands fidelity to the deposit of faith of the Church from the part of the religious teacher, which in turn is only possible with a sincere personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior, the incarnate Son of God. The Dangers of confessional religious education in school and for every catechist primarily come from the relativization of the essential, Trinitarian, Christological, ecclesial and anthropological articles of faith. The principles of fidelity to God and fidelity to man ultimately can be realized in one and the same: faithfulness to Christ.
