Abstract

The article discusses Christian practices concerning young people. The author has written about this subject extensively in three recently published books, in which he encourages improved understanding of the young and youth ministry, as well as reflecting upon and creating alternative proposals for youth ministry, i.e., Christian practices concerning young people. In the article, it is noted that the attitude of the Christian community toward the young must not only include teaching but also upbringing. In other words, young people need help in discovering the threads of their lives and relationships in order to correlate them as they mature into adulthood. It is important to ask ourselves what kinds of Church, community and new generations we want. After explaining the hermeneutical direction of the project, the author also presents its anthropological-cultural and theological parameters. Even in a world marred by secularism and pluralism, God's revelation can help today's young person to achieve full self-realization as a person, citizen and Christian. For this purpose, it is necessary to create a suitable project for educational activities. The young need help in their search for righteousness. In discovering the meaning of their lives, they will be able to encounter Jesus Christ and, imbued with the Holy Spirit, become true citizens in the Church and Christians in the world.
