Abstract

According to Word Haelth organization , about 6-7% infants was born with neurodevelopmental risk.The rate of infants born with neurodevelopmental risk in Croatia is about 10%, and in that group the neurodevelopmental outcome are attend about 80%. Perinatal brain damage is the leading cause of neurodevelopmental outcome in children.Early detection and diagnostic is very important, and in consideration of level of neurorisk, classifi ed children as high and low neurorisk, to place direction for elaboration and follow-up, and early application of habilitation programs. The plasticity of child brain is neurophysiogic base of early habilitation. The plasticity of newborn brain give opportunity to prevent the permanently psychomotoric impairments in imperilled child via early neurodevelopmental and habilitation programs. The most frequently cause of perinatal brain damage are: prematurity, multiple pregnancy, intracranial hemorrhage, (peri-intraventicular hemorrhage 1-4 level), asphyxia, hypoxicischemic damage as like periventicular leukomalacia 1.-3 level and supcortical leukomalacia, perinatal infection.
