Abstract

This article outlines how social (humanist) sciences inform one another in an interdisciplinary manner. It does so primarily in terms of epistemology as one of the fundamental philosophical disciplines (as well as a philosophical thought in general) and pedagogy, whilst accounting for the unavoidable influence of natural and exact sciences; all this is presented with an emphasis on the development of modern pedagogy. The article stresses the importance of establishing interrelationships between disciplines, so characteristic of our civilisation from antiquity to our contemporary culture, that it may be seen as a significant component of the progress of our civilisation.
