Abstract
This conceptual-theoretical paper discusses social and contextual aspects of personal and social dimensions of Christian values. The paper discusses historical and social changes stressing the “removing“ of the ideological shell within the structure of personal and social dimensions of Christian values and disregarding the ideological concept of contemporary modernism. This approach to personal and social dimensions of Christian values on both personal and group level is becoming more and more suitable to personal needs for respecting human dignity, as well as for a wider social interest and demands for common good. The values are thought of within themselves and as such create purpose and reason for human activity through dimension of transcending the existing and projecting the liberation from dependence and submission of man, which leads to universal values. Universal values triumph the most in personalistically structured and directed personal and social dimensions of Christian values – with a person in the centre – which is becoming more and more the spring and the mouth for rushing changes and social-historical forces from which new ideas shine. Therefore, the stated implies a critical reexamination of the subjective and intersubjective crisis which occurs in mass proportions within society. This makes us watch personal and social dimensions of Christian values in their internalization, but in their stated process they show that Christian values are actually not categories of identity. In order to understand better the social-contextual aspects of personal and social dimensions of Christian values, the paper is especially orientated towards understanding the social and cultural identity especially because the “original“ goal/purpose of authentic upbringing, when Christian values are concerned, has in mind that the very category has a significant influence on motivation and activity in personal and social dimensions of Christian values – which was especially emphasized by interactionism sociological theory.
