Abstract

Temperature and humidity are two most commonly measured atmospheric values as can be expected, since most of physical, electronic, chemical, medical and biological systems are influenced by them. This paper presents an example of measuring temperature, humidity and light intensity realized by microcontroller. Real time measured values are sent to the computer by serial communication link then analyzed and displayed in MATLAB. The paper also presents Arduino development environment, used for measuring physical variables. Thus it is represented as one of the most popular development platforms in todays academic and hobby engineering world.
