Abstract
By placing entrepreneurship in a broader social context, beside economic one, because of the fact that the entrepreneurs have a prominent social and economic role, the question follows on what might be done institutionally, from an educational institution’s standpoint, in order to make steps towards the use of entrepreneurship as an important factor of economic growth and treatment of entrepreneurship as an economic and social value. Starting from abstract concepts (such as values and beliefs) towards entrepreneurial reality, logical sequence and connection is perceived between values , attitudes, motivation, entrepreneurial behaviour, education and activities directed towards entrepreneurial ventures. This article explores attitudes of graduate students of the study programme Economics of Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Organisation and Informatics in Varaždin on entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship as a social value, important success factors in entrepreneurship, family life, tolerance to entrepreneurial failure and intentions to become entrepreneurs.
