Abstract

The main subject of this paper is Maya Paint Effects system integrated into one of the top software for 3D modeling, animating and rendering- Autodesk Maya. The purpose of the paper is to explore the possibilities of the software to create impressive scenes on different Brush profiles which this tool offers. The principles of how the system works, the ways that are needed for creating Paint Effects, and the settings that affect the final rendering such as brightness and shadow, are also defined. Moreover, the process of converting Paint Effects into the polygons, which opens the possibility to rendering using Mental Ray, is described. Finally, HD images with short description of final rendering result are attached.
