COMPENSATION FOR THE BENEFIT CONFERRED FROM THE USE OF ANOTHER PERSON’S SHIP FOR ONE’S OWN BENEFIT

Abstract

A bareboat charter not concluded in writing shall have no legal effect. Where a person used
another person’s ship for his own benefit, the owner may request from the former to compensate
for the benefit conferred from the use of the ship.
