ARREST OF A SHIP AS A PROVISIONAL MEASURE IN SECURITY PROCEDURE

Abstract

According to the 1952 Arrest Convention, the particular ship, in respect of which the maritime
claim arose, may not be arrested when the registered owner of the ship is not liable for that
maritime claim and the claim is not secured by maritime lien.
