Abstract

The text is considering the origins and basic features of nuclear policy of ex-Yugoslavia and the fate of nuclear program in the independent Slovenia from the politological viewpoint. The role of central actors in the creation of the power policy as well as the forms of legitimation of their activities are commented on. The transformation of the previous actors and the appearance of new actors (anti-nuclear movement) and their legitimation strategies are particularly analysed. The changes of the symbolic perception of nuclear power in the transformed political arena are considered, with particular commenting on situation around nuclear power plant „Krško“.
