Archaeological Heritage Management; Process Associated with Urban and Physical Planning

Abstract

This paper explores the contemporary system of archaeological heritage management which comprises two levels. The first level incudes the overall archaeological heritage / resource management on a particular territory while the second comprises management of archaeological sites for which the decision on preservation in situ has been made. Besides archaeologists and conservationists the management process involves urban and physical planners as well.
