Architect Ivo Bartolić; Prolegomena to his Work

Abstract

Architect Ivo Bartolić (Glina, 1912 - Zagreb, 2013) mainly designed residential architecture and hotels. In residential architecture he was mostly concerned with standardized and prefabricated construction aimed at apartment design based on industrial modular units. His work provided a major contribution to prefabricated and modular unit construction. After 1965 he turned to hotel architecture as a field where he could further develop his creative interests.
