Abstract

This article deals with nine small fragments of a stucco cornice
molding decorated with a motif in the shape of small rounded
leaves within which is an oviform ornament. This preserved,
modest decoration belonged to a wall surface, i.e., it was
located at the junction between the wall and the ceiling. The
archaeological context cannot be identified because the Roman
insula has not been fully explored to date and there are, hence,
no data regarding the use of the premises where these fragments
originally belonged.
