Abstract

Micro social structure of one group of players that
form a team can strongly influence the final score. During
Youth Volleyball European Championship 2003 the
research was conducted based on a sociometric
questionnaire. Players were given a modified Moreno test
before and after the championship. Each question
represented one independent variable. Descriptive
statistic was performed based on the interpersonal
relationship. T test was used to inspect possible statistical
significance between initial and final results in every
variable. Homogeneity of groups was tested using the
Cluster analysis. Results indicated that the team is divided
in two subgroups with two distinguished players the team
captain and the team's best player. T test results of
affirmed statistical significance between results of the
first and the second measurement in variable which
represent functional operating status (Which players are
capable to represent your team during National federation
meetings?).Taxonomy affirmed changes in analyzed
subgroups. Cluster tree showed different status of the
captain of the team in initial and final measurements.
