Abstract

Education for entrepreneurship in high schools is conducted in a very specific way in order to prepare students for real life situations in the open market competition. University College of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Management Nikola Subic Zrinski (NSZ) offers students education for entrepreneurship through a course known as Integrated Enterprise Management (IEM). There is also student’s entrepreneurship incubator which enables students already at their first year of study to start up their own companies, develop, organise and manage them through the whole three years of study. The course IEM consists of practical and theoretical knowledge from different study areas such as Marketing, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Accounting and Finance, HR, etc. During their study, students analyse market environment, conduct market research, create marketing and business plans as well as conduct real business transactions of selling their products or services. On the other hand, we are familiar with information technologies known as modular intelligent systems which may contribute to systematic follow up and assessment of student’s success while participating in the IEM course. The major aim of this paper is to find out and recommend how the modern computer engineering tools such as modular expert intelligent systems can be applied in education for entrepreneurship in IEM course as a tool for successful and simple assessment of student’s progress in achieving goals of study for entrepreneurship at University College NSZ.
